How to get Level 5 in Writing! Part Three

She’s a tough old thing that Mrs SATs Marker – did you sees her comment on that last post?

Let’s show her!

• Can you up-level that paragraph to please Mrs SATs Marker and give you a Level 5? You may decide to abandon all their ideas and start afresh – up to you! Think about what she likes to see!

Here is the paragraph again:

The room was dusty and cold it was filled with old books and old things and there was stuff laying around everywhere the curtains were old and broken the windows were smashed up and on the floor there was rats everywhere there was cobwebs on the ceiling and covering everything.

Post your up-levelled paragraphs and we’ll comment on each other’s writing.
Can you write at level 5?

  1. Oh you’ll never manage it! Children today wouldn’t know Level 5 if it bit them on the nose. Not a chance!
