•The Mental Maths Lady is cunning and devious. She tries to catch you out by giving you very little time to answer her questions!
•She makes you have to remember a HUGE range of maths facts.
•But – SHE CAN BE BEATEN!

Times tables!
Without times tables, you have no chance of defeating her.
•Make sure you know all your tables up to 12 times tables
•Try to learn your division tables as well (this will really annoy her!)

Square Numbers
(a number x itself: 1 4 9 16 25 36 49 64 81 100 121 144

Prime Numbers
(numbers that can only be divided by themselves and 1)

Multiples
(lots of a number)
Multiples of 20 – 20 40 60 80….200 220….2000 2020 2040

Factors
(a number that can be divided into another number without
remainder)

Factors of 24 – 1,2,3,4,6,8,12 and 24 – all these numbers can be divided into
24 without a remainder.

Helps if you know your tables really well!
